Looking for a Wesley S. Owens. He served with my GGgrandfather James G. Owens in the Seminole wars in Florida. I suspect that he may be James' younger brother, b c1822-1824 SC, who is listed in the 1830 Census in Gadsden County, Fl. Wesley appears on muster in/muster out rolls in 1840 and 1841 for companies raised in Quincey, Gadsden County, FL. He is not listed in the Gadsden County list of voters in the 1845 election, in which James was a poll clerk. He is not in the 1850 Census of Gadsden County. Where did he go? Is he to be found in another county in Florida or did he possibly move to GA or AL? Need some help. Scott Owens
