I have gotten a modern general highway map of Allendale County, SC, where Barnwell and Beaufort Distr came together in the early 1800's. Some of the water courses bear the same names as those used to describe the land of Solomon and Stephen. It is really hard to get a good idea exactly where the property was, of course, but this map doesn't have sections on it (do they have those in SC?) and can't really estimate acreage. STill waiting on the 1858 Deed from Gadsden county, FL to see if Sarah signed or marked then. Waiting on military records on Solomon in War of 1812, and old Solomon in the Rev War (serving from NC).
