Good Morning Both of my parents are from the Pensacola area. My mother is from Milton and it is her family line I am attempting to follow. There is an old cemetary in Milton known as the Bray Cemetary. Does anyone have any information about the Bray Cemetary. My grandmother was Henrietta Bray Land and my Grandfather was Alonzo Calvin Land (most folks called him AC. If anyone has any info please email me. We will begin planning on how to survey the cemetery, so, if you have any experience in this, you would be a very welcome addition to the effort. Bring brush clearing tools as well so we can begin getting the area cleared better for a good survey. We now have up-to-date aerial photos (as of two days ago) of the cemetery courtesy of Dr. Paul Merritt. You can see some of those photos on the Old Muscogee Website at http://home.mchsi.com/~jerrym151/. These photos show traces of old graves not apparent from ground level and will greatly aid the survey effort. Just click on the tombstone icon to enter and go to the Maps and Aerials page. At the bottom of that page are links to the most recent aerials. They are very clear - especially the link to one of the original megabyte sized, unreduced versions.
