Does your mother remember Fr. Fullerton ? Patrick, that was the whole passage about St. Michael's. Did you want all of her memories of her early days in Pensacola. Let me know and I'll send it off list to anyone interested. I just called to ask if she remembered Fr. Fullerton. Her comments"' Of course I remember him, he gave me my First Communion. All the children loved him. He was just what you think of for a parish priest in fact, everyone loved him. He was good friends with my grandma and grandpa (Joseph and Theresa Rocheblave Commyns). Sometimes, he had to go into the "red light district" of Pensacola to see one of the women there who needed a priest. He did not think it would look good for a priest to go there alone, so would call my grandpa to go with him. He was there when I made my confirmation at age 10 (1923) and even though the bishop did the ceremony, I remember Fr. Fullerton being there." Her only discription that she could remember from a child's veiwpoint was that he was not a large man but she mentioned quite a few times how much he was loved by everyone. I hope this helps.
