I have a picture that shows the Isis on the NE corner of Palafox at Garden. Another picture shows three businesses between the corner building and the Rex: Gilberg's, Empire Laundry and Ed White. At one time, before 1958, the Gulf Power was there about where Gilbergs was. The Florida Theater was in the block between Chase & Gregory, between the old Post Office and Hannah's Pharmacy. I know the Isis had wooden floors. My young niece was sitting in the front rows. During the horror movie, maybe "Night of the Living Dead" she got scared and you could hear her running up the isle for dear life to find me :-)
