Hi all. Does anyone know what happened to the family and descendents of JOSE NICOLASA (NICHOLAS/NICOLAS) and his wife YSABEL MACABOY,b1783 Pensacola? I've seen NICOLAS land records there. Think she was the sister of GUILLERMO (William) who was my ancestor. Did the NICOLAS/NICOLASA family have any children that are known? If so, I would love to know about them. I don't know if this helps but YSABEL MACABOY was born in PENSACOLA in 1783 according to the LDS stuff on-line at http://www.familysearch.org and she was listed as d/o Mr.MACABOY but I believe she is the daughter of JOHN MACVOY(later McVOY and McBOY) and YSABEL MELOS(MILLER?) (MELSA?). She married a JOSE NICOLASA in PENSACOLA. (The names were often written in the Spanish form.) There was a NICHOLAS family listed there in land records. Also an YSABEL NICOLAS listed on the early settlers of PENSACOLA. I do not know what happened to her and JOSEPH. She may have been also known as ELIZABETH or ISABELLA. Do you have any JOSEPH NICHOLAS or any close spellings from PENSACOLA FL or MOBILE or MS TERRITORY ca. 1780-1850? Thanks for any help.
