Vickie, Have you tried the Bladen Co NC website? The genealogical society just published their Heritage Book. It's at the library here in town. It's great, and I might buy it myself. Elizabethtown is the county seat. I want to go back but it's over a hundred miles through backroads. I looked for my listing of their books for sale. I'll look again. The one on the Dixons is not for sale. It's a local family history and you know what that means. I don't recall the title of the book, that's the problem. I was looking for my Ellis line, and the Dixons intermarried with my Cobb line from Augusta, GA pre-1800. Do you live in Pensacola? If so, there's a woman in the WFGS who researches the Dixons. Ginnie Deagan is in that organization and might know her.
