Would your Frances be the son of John and Martha (Peavy) Dixon/Dickson? They had 14 children: Claiborne, Abram (named for Martha's father), Berryman, Caroline (which is my line who married Joseph Jernigan), Susan, Chapell, *FRANCES, Jane (?), William, Virginia, Greene, John, Wade Hampton (who moved to Bastrop TX), and Augustus Eli. Do any of these names sound familiar? Don't know anymore beyond John and Martha Dixon...they came from GA originally and I am still trying to find them there...no luck so far.
