Could someone please help me identify the high school that my father graduated from? I have a commencement announcement. It was in 1927, and the name of the high school was "Escambia County High School." The principal's name was Mr. R. E. Hodnette. The graduation class had 19 in it. The class size seems too small to be Escambia High School in Pensacola. Could there have been another high school by that name in Escambia County, Florida? I don't know for a fact that it was in Florida. My father lived for a time in Flomaton, AL. I would appreciate any ideas anyone has. Duke Vickrey

I believe this school is less than 20 miles from Flomaton. Escambia County High School 1215 South Presley Street Atmore, Al 36502 (251) 368-9181 Hope this helps...good luck to you. Two things come to mind right away:: 1- The current Escambia Hi School didnt open until ca 1959, and there wasnt another back far as 1945---we had only Tate, Tech, PHS, Catholic, and BTW. 2- Could it also be in Escambia Co, Alabama, right next door? I'll ask around. Surely that info shouldnt be hard to find. Evan STROHL SGVICK@aol.com wrote: Could someone please help me identify the high school that my father graduated from?
