    3. Maura, The West Florida Regional library is located downtown off Spring Street they are opened Tues-Sat. As far as I know they have newspapers. The University of West Florida library has newspapers on their second floor; and a geneology collection in their basement. Their geneology collections is called Special Collections and the hours are M-F 8-4:30. I have never been to the Geneology society or the Historical Society. ----- Original Message ----- From: Maura <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, April 01, 2000 5:30 PM Subject: [FLESCAMB] Research places in Pensacola > Well, I've read through all the online info on the Escambia county site, > and call me dense, but I'm still getting confused a lot - -maybe because > people are referring to the same places in different ways? > > I'm hoping to spend at least one day soon over in Pensacola researching, > and people are telling me that the West Florida Regional LIbrary is the > place that has the most. > > But I"m getting confused between that, the Genealogy Society, UWF > library, and the Historical Society. > > Could someone send something to the list on just what place is what? > Which place has the newspapers on microfilm and the death certificates > on microfilm? > > Thanks..... > > > Maura [email protected] > *********************************** > Helpful Hints for Successful Searching > http://www.rootsweb.com/~irlwat/instruct.htm > To join the SHAMROCK list (for searching in all of Ireland), send only > the word subscribe in the body of an email to > [email protected] or [email protected] > for the digest version >
