I called Lesley Conn at PNJ to follow up on the request to reinstate the genealogy column. She said there are no such plans. The first time I talked to her, she said she was new, and she seemed enthusiastic about looking into it.. But, now, she says they have other plans, not enough money and are cutting back on staff. She is keeping our emails on file for future reference. I don't know if more emails would help. Perhaps some letters to the editor?? I guess we should have put up a squawk when they first dropped it.
