    2. I understand that there is a Jordan Cemetery somewhere in the Gonzalez, FL vicinity (north of Pensacola). If anyone on this list knows where this cemetery is, please do let me know -- I am going South again in about a week, and I really need to find that cemetery. Thanks! Faye

    3. My family is buried in Jordan Cemetery. Take US 29 North to Kingsfield Road in Gonzales. Turn right on Kingsfield Road and go east across Old Palafax Highway CR95A then past the RR tracks for .8 miles. Cemetery is on the left. I have a complete list of burials if you need any additional information. 3. Faye, I live "right around the corner" from that cemetery now, and performed the original survey for our Genealogical Society's Cemetery Book. I would be happy to arrange to meet you there when you arrive in Pensacola, and show you around that location if you'd like. Ever since surveyed some of these local cemeteries, I've offered to accompany anyone to them whenever we can get together, mainly because some of our cemeteries are not as safe as we would like them to be, and perhaps I could help your search. I'M FINALLY RETIRED, AND ACTUALLY HAVE TIME ON MY HANDS!! Jordan is right on the highway, but it is somewhat overgrown (not to hurt anyone's feelings, mind you), and at an earlier time, there was suspicious activity down toward the back, from time to time. Feel free to call me when you come to town. Do you know approx when you'll be in town?? If you would like any references for me, call our local West Florida Regional Library on Gregory Street, genealogy department, and ask for Dolly, or ask a number of the folks on this board. 3. Evan, Does anybody actually own this cemetery, I mean it is on public or private land? Who is in charge of maintaining the cemetery? I have Kierce and Hinote relatives buried there. Someone was kind enough to take photos for me a few years back and it was very much overgrown with weeds and such. More recently someone went back to take photos and the cemetery seemed to have been cleaned up a bit. Just wondering. I am planning a visit sometime this summer. I have a civil war maker to be placed there.
