    3. The Florida Death Index on microfiche is available (on top of the blue metal cabinet) at the downtown Pensacola Public Library. It begins with 1877, although the earliest years are pretty scattered. I checked the Escambia, Alabama cemetery book. Not there. I checked the Santa Rosa book. Not there. The Florida veterans death/burial info is also downtown at the library in the blue metal cabinet. Nine rolls of microfilm, alphabetically arranged by name of veteran, were donated a few months ago by some generous individuals. Names of those buried in unmarked graves are sometimes found in the film, as WPA workers went into neighborhoods and actually interviewed family members or neighbors. The veterans include those from the Indian Wars through World War I. The date of birth for Mr. Williams probably doesn't work out for any of the wars, but it is important for researchers to know that the film is in the library. Several have found family members in the film after years of searching with no results elsewhere. Judy Jolly WFRL Genealogy Volunteer
