Where else is the record that states the different spellings of Tirquill McNair. I have his homestead records and he signed as Tirquill. He also died in Nov 21 1897, according to church records i have. He did have a grandson, Thomas Quiller McNAIR aka T.Q. McNair and Quill McNAIR. Thomas Quiller also has a son that was Thomas Quiller Jr. Could these be names that some are mistaking for Tirquill. I also have family letters that were written in the late 1800's that refer to "Quill" and his son Gilbert (aka William Gilbert McNAIR) Tjhey were written by his sisters to eachother....
