Jeanne, If I may be so bold as to butt in (maybe I'm out of line). In the Vol I of the cemetery books, I see Marion and Johnie GODWIN: Marion b. December 12, 1881 d. June 07, 1957 Johnnie A. b. February 14, 1883 d. May 03, 1919 I don't know if this will help you, but they are buried next to a Siddie GODWIN b. 1907 d. 1963 And next to a Claudia GODWIN, b. May 3, 1924 Would this be of any help?? They cemetery book lists the Section # and Grave #, but without the original map, this is almost useless info. But if you note the grave #s of Marion and Johnnie A., they are #229 and #230 respectively, and Siddie is #231, and Claudia is #232----All in Section 3. If Siddie and Claudia are still there, you could just about see the locations of the missing headstones! What do you think? Evan P.S., I could give you other folks buried in Section 3, if that would get you closer to the correct area. It's a beautiful cemetery, by the way. Well kept. -----Original Message----- From: JeanneGodwin <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Saturday, February 26, 2000 4:16 PM Subject: Re: [FLESCAMB] McNAIR * GODWIN * BOYETT >Mona, >I am researching Godwins - as is Brenda to whom I have cc this message. >Do you have any information on Marion Godwin who married Johnnie McArthur? >Or anything on the McArthurs? >Marion and Johnnie are buried at the Godwin cemetery, as are his parents. >But the markers are gone and I don't know where the graves were or the >information. > >Thanks! >J.
