Ruth, A local committee in Escambia Co., FL has been collecting stories written by people about their own families. This project has been in the works for over two years. They will be published by Heritage Publishing Consultants of Clanton, a company which has published these county history books all over Alabma and are now doing some in FL. Santa Rosa County just got their printed books back last weekend. Cost of the 9 x 12 hard cover books is $50.00 plus $3.75 tax if you live in FL. It is another $5.00 to have the book mailed to you. This is a presale price, good until August 1. We have 728 Family stories and 304 Topical Stories. If you are interested, write me off list for more information. Ruth, After reading your letter again, I'm not sure I gave you much detail. Most people writing for the price, etc., already know about the Heritage Book. It will be published this year by Heritage Publishing Consultants of Clanton, AL. They have published these county books all over AL and have started in FL. I am chairman of the committee that collected the stories written by family members themselves. We also have topical stories on churches, schools, communities, businesses, etc. Our particular book will have 304 topicals and 728 family stories by and about people who lived at some time in Escambia Co. FL. We have submitted out stories to the publisher and hope to have the finished product by Christmas or maybe in the fall. If you have other questions, please write. Cynthia
