    3. Hi Sheila, I used to use software from Panicware also but have since switched to Popup Manager. It's free and works extremely well for me. I think you'll like it too :) http://www.endpopups.com/index.html You'll find several links there to download this great program Good luck! > FYI, fellow Listers !! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I was looking for a program to stop those annoying POP-Up Ads and POP Under ads, and found this FREE downloadable Software, and loaded it to my computer. It did stop some of them, BUT it allowed certain ads through and when you go to their site to find out how to stop those few ads, they tell you you must download and use their Profeesional Version which costs XX$$ to truly stop the ads. 3. I use the program offered with Windows 98 where, if you can grab the addresses, you can block these popups. BUT the catch I find is that if you are running a program - like yahoo or ancestry.com, they advertise to support their sites and you can not block their ads. For spam, I have a local ISP that uses webmail to block spam and it DOES A WONDERFUL job. ----- Original Message ----- From: "sheila martin" <sheilam78@comcast.net> To: <FLESCAMB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2003 8:46 AM Subject: [FLESCAMB] Free Software Scam !! 2. Hello Jerry, I am writing from Northwest Louisiana. I am very pleased that someone cares so much about the Muscogee area. My great grandfather was Ezekiel Nellums, and my grandmother was Annie Nellums McGuire. I know Ezekiel is buried at the old cemetery, but when I was there in 1997, I could find no evidence that either Annie or Ezekiel's wife Laura were buried there. I know it is possible that the graves have lost their markers. Both of these women died young, and according to now deceased family members they should have been buried in that cemetery. Once again, I am so glad that people like yourself get involved in preserving our wonderful heritage. If I was there, I would be thrilled to help you clean. Good luck in all your endeavors. 3. Hi Jan, We'll post updates and photos on the website under the restoration pages. You can keep track of what's happening there. I'll keep an eye out for unmarked graves. We'll be plotting on a map so we can tell which graves and names might be associated. We may be able to locate an older survey, too, that might have better info than what's there now. Vandals have pretty much destroyed most of the markers. Some were thrown in the river and are now lost for good. If you have any old pictures or other history of the Nellums, I'd be happy to include it on the History or other appropriate pages. 2. Hello, My name is Toni Carrier. I am the founding director of the University of South Florida Africana Heritage Project. Our mission is to rediscover precious records documenting former slaves and to make those records available on a free, public access internet site. Our researchers travel far and wide to transcribe records from archives, libraries and county records, before these are lost to history. Our largest focus, however, is within the genealogical community. We recognize that the majority of the records that mention slaves have actually been discovered by folks researching their own ancestry. So many folks have these records, and wish to share them, and that is where our Africana Heritage Project comes in. Our goal is to be a central home on the internet for any and all records that document slaves. Our website, which will be hosted by Rootsweb (God Love 'Em), is now under construction, and we are accepting submissions from the genealogical community. We cherish our contributors. Please let us hear from you at toniheadr@aol.com. God Bless! Toni
