Hi Sheila, I'm not at home right now, but when I get there, I will look up this person's original email, and go to the Public Library and look it up---- unless someone else beats me to it--OK? ;=) Thanks, and nice to hear from you! Okay then, what about the DAR transcriptions? I know the Pensacola Public Library had a copy in the Genealogy section. Can someone from the library look up the name and get back to Miss Fay? If not, I can try to check for the name GARNER in the copy at the State Archives today when I go look up another marriage in the State Index (1928-1998 only, before anyone asks ...) Hi, Does anyone have access to a published book of marriages in Escambia Co. for the years 1860-1870? Faye in TX cnfb@281.com
I have been informed by the publisher that the book is at press, finally. I expect it will be out some time in May. Those who ordered a book will get a letter from the publisher telling you when to expect delivery or when and where to pick up the book, depending upon the option you chose. Cynthia
Cynthia, Thanks for the update. I'll bet you will be glad when the books finally get shipped! It will have been worth the wait, and I am patiently looking forward to receiving it. Thanks for all your hard work! Phyllis Garratt

Okay, well this current trip won't work, so are you able to verify that I did send the $1.25 or do I need to try and go back and see when the check cleared in 2002?? If that is a problem, it would probably be easier to just send another $1.25 vs the time to look up 2002 records, let me know. What address do you have for shipping? bruce there is still a H. Lloyd living in Pensacola who has a daughter Virginia she would be about 60 now an living in Mobile with her children but try doing a white pages search in Pensacola for him....he was alive at Christmas sent him a card but can't find his address now when i want to pass it on to you good luck
I am seeking descendents of one Alfred Eugene Lloyd, born ca 1858 in Greene, Chenango county, New York Research indicates he lived for a time in Northeast Pennsylvania, then in the Newark NJ area, where he worked for the railroad. He married someone named Mary, had a son named Howard or Lester, or Howard Lester or Lester Howard, born ca 1898. I think Alfred died sometime between 1915 and 1920. Alfred and Mary may have had other children I think Howard Lloyd died in the Pensacola, FL area in June 1970. I don't know if he moved there or was vacationing. At his death, he would have been 71 or 72 years of age. This Lloyd line has Civil War, Revolutionary War and Mayflower connections.. Naturally, any information on Alfred Eugene Lloyd, Mary Lloyd or Howard (or Lester, would be greatly appreciated. Bruce L. Lloyd
Over the last year, I have fretted much over the condition of the Mt Zion Cemetery in Pensacola. It is located on Cross St. There has been a sign for renovation for over a year but no activity. I have tried to finds out who the cemetery was affiliated with to no avail. TONIGHT on the news, was the little cemetery and it is being cleaned up by none other than our local Military who is proud to it. CUDOS to them, and I personally thank them fromthe bottom of my heart. Wanted to let everyone know how proud I am of these guy and gals adn will be there tomorrow to help if I can. Marli member DAR
