    2. Thank you Ann. We were hoping to find something from an earlier time period, but I have had only 5 responses, so we'll keep yours in mind. We may have to settle for a portrait from the mid-1800's. We'll stay in touch and let you know. Thanks again. Nancy Tobin Harcourt School Publishers Orlando, FL

    3. Hi: I've just gotten back on line and found your msgs. I have two, repeat two, Highnotes/Hinotes in my McGill Bible records. lThey are two faint to photocopy, but My Aunt Mae read them to me and if you will get back to me in about a week's time I'll try to find the two. I think one is a Lawrence Hinote. These were with my McGill family in Baldwin Co. AL. I have well over 800 msgs to catch up with. 2. Vanessa, I am sending this through the list because someone else might need this information . I found your Honor Hinote, but she is listed as being married to Moses Kierce with estimated dates. I did find Honor's parents ( which, is who you asked for anyway ). Gggg Hinote born abt. 1740 in Germany wife not known. Children: Henry Hinote ( Highnote ) b. abt 1756 in Ga. died 1835 married Sarah Upton 1793. Phillip P. Hinote b. abt. 1763 in Ga (no other information) Henry Hinote ( Highnote ) and Sarah Upton's children: Benjamin Thomas Hinote born 1795 died ? married Martha Elizabeth Wright 1812 in GA. Phillip Green Hinote Born May 14, 1800 died ? Henry Charles Hinote Born 1815 no other info. ( Assume they were all born in Georgia ) Children of Benjamim T. Hinote and Martha E. Wright b. 1798 Green Berry Hinote b. Feb 15, 1829 died September 30, 1899, married Sarah Dunnaway ? Buried in Ft. Crawford Cemetery, East Brewton, Al Elijah L. Hinote born ? died ? in Pensacola, Florida Henry Virgil Hinote b. aug 17, 1824 died May 14, 1883 in Milton, Fl. married Mary Cathrine ? COMMENT: " I looked through the Santa Rosa Cemetery Book and found that H. Hinote b. 1837 Phillip Hinote b. 1840 Children of Green Berry Hinote and Sarah Dunnaway: Will Highnote no dates married Annie ? Honor Hinote " married Moses Kierce Fannie Hinote married Dick Hinote Hulda Hinote married Unk Hernandez and Edmund J. Brewton Lucinda Hinote b. Nov 30 ,1851 died April 15, 1900 married Milton Case Stokes buried in the East Brewton Ft. Crawford Cemetery Phillip Green Hinote b.Aug 22, 1853 in Abbeville, Henry County, Alabama died June 20, 1929 in Brewton Al. married Elizabeth Bettie Tempie Welch in Pensacola, Fl. I did not establish a connection between my Kersey's and your Kierce's. I did find that Moses Kierce had Land in Florida it was recorded July 3. 1902 Henry Kierce also had land . He homesteaded 79.50 acres. It was recorded May 1, 1902. It is possible that Honor was married to both Moses and Henry, but I did not fine anything on Henry except the Land. Another thought---Moses could have been Moses Henry Kierce and homesteaded the land in both names since you were only allowed so much land to homestead ? Good Luck, and hope that I have helped. 2. Vanessa, I have researched the Kersey name for 30 years. On all of the Census's the name is spelled Kiersey, but somehow got shortened to Kersey. I have a Henry Kersey in my family but he was born in Escambia County. I will see what I have on your Kierce's Doris
