They had at least six children (Alexander b. 1864, Isabella Dickson b. 1866, James b. 1868, Robert Pearson b. 1870, William b. 1872, Ann Licklie b. ca. 1878. John probably had a brother William (b. ca. 1845 in Brechin, married Jane (poss. Clark), ch. Ann L, Jane Clark), as the two were living at the same address (4 Forbes St, St Cuthberts, Edinburgh) at the time of the 1881 census. Any information would be gratefully received.
