There were lots of FLEMING familys listed in the census for NC but I have not been able to find my particular one. Jacob FLEMING b. abt 1772 in NC married Niomey GOODWIN 23 May 1801 in Mason county, Ky. I can not find any family in Ky who could be his so I feel they may still be back in NC and he was on his own. Jacob is found later in Clark and Champaign counties, Ohio Naomi died before 1840 and in 1850 Jacob is living with his son-in-law Zebulon BREVARD in Champaign county, Ohio. That is the last reference to him. No grave site has been found for he or his wife. Otherj children are Noris, Catharine, and Sarah. A Caleb CARTER was bondman for his marriage license and appears to be in the area more than once where Jacob lived. What , if any, is his relationship to Jacob? Would dearly love to find out who parents of Jacob are? Any of you oout there with NC Flemings have a lead for me???? KayEllen Fleming
