Oh, boy, am I going to keep you guys busy! David Fleming, born before 1775 in Scotland, married Jane (possibly Jean) Greig, also born before 1775 in Scotland, on December 20, 1788 in Kennoway, Fife, Scotland. Children were: 1. John Fleming, Born October 5, 1789, Kennoway, Fife, Scotland 2. Possible Stillborn child, no name listed, Born May 1791, no date of death 3. Andrew Greig Fleming, christened May 26, 1793, born in Kennoway, Fife, Scotland 4. David Fleming, christened July 16, 1797, born in Kennoway, Fife, Scotland 5. Jean Fleming, christened Nov. 14, 1800, born in Kennoway, Fife, Scotland 6. Alexander Fleming, christened July 7 1803, born in Kennoway, Fife, Scotland I am descended from the third child, Andrew Greig Fleming, and have no knowledge of the other children's marriages. I should point out that the names David, Andrew, John, Alexander, and Jean turn up throughout my genealogy for the next generation, and some in the generations further on. Another thing which MAY, I repeat only MAY, make this David Fleming slightly easier to trace is that he is the paternal grandfather of Sir Sandford Fleming, a son of Andrew Greig Fleming, who was Chief Engineer for the building of the Trans Canada Railway system, and developer of Standard Time. I will be placing other requests regarding subsequent generations. Thanks for any help or any direction that I can be given. Rita Taylor
