    3. I am researching the descendants of David Fleming of Pitt County, North Carolina. He was born at least by 1755 (he was over 45 years of age according to the 1800 census), and he died before September of 1826 in Pitt County, North Carolina. David married Ann ?, whose last name is not known, on February 18, 1776, in Pitt County, North Carolina, according to a now-lost family bible. They had at least eight children. Regrettably we know little of David Fleming. The place or date of his birth and the names of his parents are not known (at least to me!!!). The first record of him can be found in the surviving deed books of Pitt County recorded November 16, 1777. My branch, through David's son John, emigrated to Georgia about 1817, first to Washington County and then to Dooly and Pulaski counties. Most of the information I have compiled on this Fleming line can be found on my web page, at: http://www.mindspring.com/~jtfleming Thx. Joseph T Fleming P. O. Box 53354 Atlanta, Georgia 30355
