I am interested in the Flemings that lived in McDowell County, NC....around OLD FORT & SUGAR HILL, NC in the 1850-1900 time frame. My great grandfather was named John FLEMING MORRIS and I am just curious to learn WHAT Fleming he was named after and what conncection they had to the MORRIS or ELLIOTT families.
