William JAMES Bradley Fleming b 1794 S.C. married Jane Hamilton either in La. or Ms. ca 1828 He was in War of 1812 in a Mississippi regiment. Received land in St. Helena parish,La. 1819. Lived in Copiah Co.,Ms., Carroll parish, la. and back to copiah co.,Ms. where he died in 1859. Had following children: Samuel John (my gr grandfather) Thomas Ruben Eugene Elisha Alexander George Ellis Joseph (died as an infant) Mary I have always felt that this Fleming family were in the old Sumter area of S.c. and possibly williamsburg because of the relationship of other families from this area in La. and Ms. at the same time as William J.B.
