I'm not sure I even have a Fleming- my brick wall for a long time has been Nancy Fleming Payne b.19 Dec.1802, Warren Co, NC, married Benjamin Thornton,Jr. 16 Sept.1819, Elbert Co, GA, and died there 3 or 15 Mar. 1864. Does anyone know of a Fleming-Payne connection? Benjamin's grandfather was Dozier Thornton, (Rev. war) who was from Lunenburg Co. Va. so the Fleming and Payne conn. could be from there also.
