Thanks, Colman Ahern, >> Not sure when the ice age ended in Cork, but I do have a FLEMING relative in Cork City. Anastasia (Anstey) FLEMING is listed as the mother of my g-g- grandfather, Michael CONDON, b. 1843 in St Finbarr's South Chapel. I don't know anything about her except that there is a lady with the same name listed as the mother of a previous child with the name Michael CONDON b. 1832 (died prior to 1843?) and also listed as the mother of a Samuel HOBBS, b. 1808. The first name strikes me as bit unusual, so I think that all three occurances may be the same woman. The dates do seem a bit spaced, though, so I'm not sure. ************************************************ Deborah Pesa CONDON surname Queens, NY list administrator http://www.egroups.com/list/condon-surname/ http://members.aol.com/Dpesa/home.html Ma bhuaileann tu mo mhadra buailfidh tu me fein. - Irish proverb *************************************************
