Susan, I haven't actually done any Fleming research, but my wife is from a Fleming line. Archibald and Sarah Fleming had at least 10 children, John was among the oldest. John and Eleanor Penquite had at least 10 children also. Then their daughter Sarah married Robert McArter and they had about 11 children. Eleanor's parents were William Penquite, Sr. and Keziah Bradfield. Eleanor was apparently one of nine children. Big families, huh? This information comes from a Virginia researcher who prepared a descendants chart of Archibald and Sarah Fleming for a family reunion in Iowa last year. I believe he would be willing to share this with you if you like. I will contact him and ask if it's allright to have you contact him. It appears that you may have some McArter information which he may need.
