As it turns out my patriarch from MD is a descendant of either John Fleming b. 1688 or Alexander Fleming b. 1711. We have learned this from the Relative Genetics/Ancestry Y chromosone DNA study. What would be helpful for both of us is to find a living, male, Fleming descendant of the Fleming/Charltons to enter into the same DNA study. It could help map our relationships.
