Submitted my dna sample to the SMGF study already and I am awaiting my dna submission kit from RG. As to the change from 1 m to 2 m's, in tracing the records back, my paternal line found in the 1850 US census was listed with 2 m's -- and all subsequent documents for the family used the 2 m spelling. I do not know why it was changed -- but something like that usually ocurs from a family squabble -- would love to track it down though.
