    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: Marianne_Vol_Researcher Surnames: Fleming Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.fleming/2323/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Eau Claire Argus Eau Claire, Wisconsin June 5, 1879 Two weeks ago yesterday a farmer named Michael Fleming, living in the town of Canton, Buffalo county, was returning home from Alma, whither he had been to dispose of a load of wheat, when some portion of the harness became disarranged and his team started to run. The wagon was capsized, and Mr. Fleming, becoming entangled in the reins, was dragged some distance. He was picked up insensible, and taken to Ira Moats' house, whence a messenger was sent for medical aid. Doctors Milligan, of Wabasha, Minn., and McVey, of Alma, were summoned, but they found the man unconscious, in which condition he remained several days, and at last accounts, his symptoms had but little improved. 2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Maggie FLEMING which was taken at the Hayden Studio in Lincoln, Nebraska. Divorced mother, Lillian (CONRAD) FLEMING also was in the household. I am trying to determine whether Lawrence was the "Larry FLEMING" later married to Vivian (GREENLEE) YDE later in the 1930s. She also worked for an auto dealer in MI around that time and married "Larry" on the rebound after the break-up of her first marriage. 3. My Flemings lived in Ohio before Kansas also -- here's some of the (too many to mention) ways I've been researching. Ancestry.com has Kansas Territorial Censuses. This site has lots of Kansas stuff including 1855 voters lists. http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/archives/troubles.html Lots of Flemings migrated to Ohio in the early 1800's -- see counties of Butler, Darke, Preble, and Harrison. Many counties have their own genealogy websites with good information. Try Googleing "Ohio Fleming Purviance" (these 2 surnames appear together in many places and it will help lower hits to under 800!! Fleming is such a common name) Happy Hunting, Sandi in NM Researching: Abrignano, Ampola, Anastasia, Atwater, Audigier, Barbera, Bonafede, Colicchia, Cordell, Crozier, Dablemont, Doubleman, Fleming, Lamia, Linderman, Marino, Mannone, Martinciglio, Paladino, Pearsall, Puleo, Polizzi, Pulizzi, Reano, Reed, Saladino, Sammartano, Sorrentino, Valenti, Wadkins, Zito ----- Original Message ----- From: <fleming-request@rootsweb.com> To: <fleming@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2007 1:04 AM Subject: FLEMING Digest, Vol 2, Issue 85 > > > Today's Topics: > > 1.
