She married my Grandfather James Earl Sear....I believe he only had a sister Alice(Pete)(Fleming), and I think his parents names were Harry James Sear and Alice (I want to say Poley, but not sure)I could be wrong on her Name altogether.     3. I would like some information concerning DNA projects now being used to assist in genealogy research. How do you know which service to use? I know of one provided by Ancestry.com and another at familytreedna.com. If they are different services then, are they not separate databases not sharing information? How does one choose? R Cooper

I really have no clue to where this family is from. There is a seal at the top of the letter that says Birmingham Alabama. My husband's grandmother Texanna Lee was born in Belton, Texas. Anyone who would has already past. My mother told me John came over with his brothers. I found immigration records on this site. James was born in 1835 and they arrived in the US on Dec. 13 1851.
