    3. Message forwarded by list manager. Please reply to: Willis Fagan wefbev@verizon.net <mailto:wefbev@verizon.net> -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Reba Fleming Date: Fri, 13 Jun 2008 16:46:02 -0700 From: Willis Fagan <wefbev@verizon.net> To: <fleming-admin@rootsweb.com> My family and I were guests of Reba Fleming during the 1940s. She lived at 11 Roxborough St. E, Toronto, Ontario. As I understand it, the house was located in a residential area known as Rosedale. I attended my first years of school at the old Rosedale school building. The house has since been demolished to make way for the train, (underground?), and the old school building has been replaced with a newer one. I have my kindergarten class photo taken on the steps of the old school, and a few photos taken at the house. I also have a book that once belonged to Reba, with her name and the date Feb. 1943 in it, which I can only assume she gave to my parents. My question is this: Is Reba Fleming the daughter of Robert John Fleming, (a mayor of Toronto in the late 1800s)? If so, she was a sibling of a moderately large family, and I was wondering if there are any of her family members still around. I would like to contact them for more information about this most gracious and generous lady. Thank you for anything you can share. Fleming , a well-known young business man was married to Mattie A. Kelly, an accomplished and popular young organist, Rev. Father J.C. Hughes officiating. The elaborate decorations of the church, amid a blaze of hundreds of miniature incandescent lights, lent splendor to the occasion. The bride, dressed in white silk and lace, and carrying a bouquet of bride roses, was attended by Miss Clara Fleming, a sister of the groom, who was most becomingly attired in white and carried a bouquet of pink roses. The groom was attended by Commodore George J. Kelly, brother of the bride. After the ceremony the bridal party, accompanied by the immediate relatives, repaired to the home of the bride's parents at 404 Fifth Street, where an elaborate wedding breakfast followed. Mr. And Mrs. Fleming left for the East, and will be at home to their friends after October 15, at 564 Fourth Street. The Sunday Oregonian Sept. 27, 1908 Sec III Page 3 Column 3 I am not related.
