Now you can read 122,813 messages from 877 mailing lists using your Web browser by visiting <http://archiver.rootsweb.com/>. All those messages are from just three months of beta tests -- watch this archives grow with its public debut. This is a remarkably comfortable way to browse through the posts that have been made to the lists. Be sure to use the integrated search engine to find what you are looking for. To use the Archiver you will need to pick a user name and password and you will need to accept a cookie. The reason for passwords and cookies is to keep spammers' e-mail address harvesters *out* of the archives. Because of this password-and- cookie feature, listowners can set up lists to be archived with confidence that they are *not* exposing posters' addresses to spammers. We encourage all RootsWeb listowners to visit the Archiver and then include their lists in the archives. The next step is to start making old list messages available. Thanks to Marc Nozell for implementing the threaded archives. Hello, I'm new to this list and this is my first posting. I am for information on the parents of Stephen FLEMING called "of Manasquan" Monmouth, Co., NJ in Henry Havens book "The Havens Family in NJ". His daughter Jane FLEMING, b. ca 1714, Shrewsbury, Monmouth Co., NJ married Daniel HAVENS, b. ca 1710, Shrewsbury, Mon Co, NJ. Daniel's father, Daniel HAVENS, b. ca 1680, Shrewsbury, NJ married a woman named Christian. Her maiden name may have also been FLEMING. Any information on this line, which is new to me, will be greatly appreciated. I don't have much, but will share what I have. Many thanks. Joe Collins [email protected]
Still having problems
Hi, Thank you very much indeed to all who sent me info re the origins of the Fleming name etc. Good luck, Colman Ahern, Berkeley. Researching: Ahern, Burke, Fleming, Mowett, Roche, from Cork.
Hello all, Well tonight I uploaded my Fleming web page - all welcome! It's purely a Fleming & var. site which I hope you'll agree has a role to play.. With the easter break coming up next week I'll have lots of time to enter lots of your data onto the site. <g> http://www.rathbone.org/fleming It's definitely a work in progress, needs fine tuning and will naturally evolve, so feedback welcomed. Ruth Rathbone (nee Fleming) Tasmania

Hi, Well I don't know when the last ice age ended in Scotland, but Cork being a bit farther south, perhaps it ended a little sooner there! Can someone tell me where the Fleming name generally originated? It's starting to look as if a ggrandmother of mine from the parish of Aghada in Co. Cork was named Ellen Fleming, she married James Roche in l865, in Cork. Her mother may also have been called Ellen, born approx l820, not sure of place of birth. Thanks, Colman Ahern, Berkeley. Still looking for: Ahern, Burke, Fleming, Mowett, Roche.
