    1. ROLL CALL--from your Listowner
    2. Bob Francis
    3. Fellow Fleming researchers, Though I am your listowner, I've been rather quiet on this list for a while. I have been working primarily on some regional projects and haven't taken the time to work with our group. Sorry for the neglect. However, as I was going over our group membership, I noticed that we have quite a large group of subscribers. To date, we have 259 subscribers to our Individual List and 81 subscribers to our Digest List, for a total of 340 subscribers. Now that's a pretty good bunch of folks! So, I think the time is at hand for us to do a "Roll Call;" that is, everyone send in their favorite FLEMING query. I believe we will be surprised at what we can do to "connect-the-dots" of our family puzzles! -- Bob Francis--Listowner for the SHAWHAN, McCUNE, FLEMING, TROWER, HINKSON, RUDDLESFORT, EWALT and RAVENSCRAFT Discussion Groups. 1. Rollcall and STUCK PLACE
    2. I am looking for Samuel Fleming's first wife, mother of his first 6 children:[sons:Robert Nesbit Fleming,Samuel Fleming Jr, John Fleming, and daughters Mary, Margaret, and Rebecca,] ... Robert Nesbit Fleming, my 3ggfa, was b 6 April 1786 and married Elizabeth Neeley...all 3 girls married brothers John B, Alexander, and William Freeland. All the sibs were born after Robert, and before 1794....all in the Iredell/Rowan county line area of NC. I know Samuel Fleming's second wife was a Mary Wilson,m 1794, and she is the mother of Moses, David F, James Greer, and Nancy and Elizabeth Fleming. These 2 sisters m Daniel and Wm Brawley. Samuel Fleming's father was David Fleming, wife unknown ( but my bet is a daughter of a Robert Nesbit!) , and he is father of Elizabeth, John, David ( who went to Mississippi), and MosesFleming ,( who died without children, leaving widow Sarah Cunningham, Elbert Ga.) as well as Samuel. Anyone else looking on this line????? Catherine

    3. > any farther but has helped others on the net who have contacted me. I fail to see how anyone can get any further back with just the IGI index online without first eliminating the other 5,000 possible Joe BLOG(g)s, and variations, unless of course your ancestors all had very unusual names ie. Zebidee Rainforest ALPHABET. Stories on the lists are numerous about people adding five or six generations from only the IGI if this is so I'm missing something and will gladly be told how to do it. You are probably as aware as anyone else that adding this information to your own tree could and will be harmful to your own research without further evidence. I do apologise to anyone who gets this twice* and strongly apologise to Joe Blogs and Zebidee Alphabet and any descendants of same. *If you get this more than three times and you have ancestors in Scotland please advise. 1. Ralph FLEMING - d.1821 Williamson Co. TN
    2. Ralph FLEMING was probably a Rev. War Vet, probably lived in NC somewhere, but moved to TN (Washington/Sullivan Co.) early as 1781 or 1783. He is believed to have married a Hannah BOYD in Davidson/Williamson Co. NC/TN about 1791, with issue of James, Polly, Margaret, Josiah, and Jane FLEMING. All leads as to his ancestry, origin, and descendents would be appreciated. The same is true for his wife Hannah (Hanner?) BOYD. There were BOYD pioneers in Middle TN in the early settlement years. 3. Hi everyone, I am new to the Fleming Mailing List. Here are my names I am researching. John FLEMING b. approx 1861/1863 in Westminster or Holborn.Ldn.(Father James) Occupation was a Marble Mason and had his own business in 1891 Bethnal Green.1900 Dalston London. Died 1913. he had approx 12 children.Spouse Susannah IVES b. Clerkenwell 1863 to William Ives a Cabman, lived Holborn 1881 Census. I was told by my father that my G.F. John Fleming was born in Ireland, as was about diff branches of the family, but I found him on the 1891 Census saying he was b. in Holborn. in 1881 Census I think are the family as they were all Marble Polishers/Mason, states both John and James were b. London. I cannot find a b. of John, so I don't know where to look. I havehis M.Cert and Death Cert. but have no clues excepting that he was a Roman Catholic. Does any SKS have any ides, or perhaps if a SKS could look up the 1871 Census for me in either Holborn,Shoreditch or Bethnal Green. John M. Susannah in Bethnal Green 1882.
