Dear Barbara, According to the book "Grave Markers of Duval County 1808-1916" ( by Lucy Ames Edwards) there were 51 cemeteries in the "Jacksonville"area in 1916. Some of them were no longer in use even at that time. There are many more that surfaced and then were lost or forgotten since then. Also, these listings did not include Black or Colored People Cemeteries. Today we are currently searching for some 215 cemeteries that were reported to be "in the area". Back in 1918 the city/town limits and boundaries were not the same as they are today. I would be happy to help you. It would be useful if you have an idea of where in the area she lived. ANY other information would help. Have you located a death certificate from Vital Statistics yet? Perhaps there may be some clue on that.
