I'm new to this so please forgive me if my request is out of order. I am just trying to get the word out in hopes of obtaining any information I can. I am working with the Jacksonville Historical Commission to have an old (mid 1800's) abandoned Afro-American cemetery considered for historical designation. This cemetery was used by the residents of the "Black Point" settlement, later known as "Yukon". This community was disbanded when the land was turned into NAS-Jax. We have established a direct relationship with many buried there to the "Mulberry Grove Plantation" after emancipation. If any has any information on Mulberry Grove or the Black Point settlement before or during the War between the States it would be most appreciated. Thanks Holly
