The Southern Genealogist's Exchange Society, in Jacksonville, Florida, will have a combined meeting with the Jacksonville Genealogical Society, on Saturday, June 18, 2005, 1:30 p.m., at the Willow Branch Library, on Park St., at the corner of Cherry St., in the Avondale section of Jacksonville. Ms Sherrie Harris, President of the Jacksonville Jewish Genealogical Society will speak about doing Jewish genealogy. SGES and JGS plan to begin meeting in the Webb Wesconett Library on 103rd Street at the time of their combined July 16 meeting. Talks are continuing concerning the possible merger of these two societies in Jacksonville, under a new name. Information about SGES, it's library of over 5,000 books and periodicals, membership in Heritage Quest, etc., can be obtained on line at sgesjax.tripod.com, or by phone at 904-778-1000.
