If the person who provided the information for the death certificate knew, the parent's names, mother by maiden name, will appear on the death certificate. Death certificates are only $5.00, so that's the place to start. Hidden somewhere in the web site for the Florida Vital Statistics page (couldn't find it right now since they don't want this information widely known and it doesn't appear in the regular portion of information regarding birth certificates) a birth certificate can be obtained for someone who is deceased. You will have to provide a copy of the death certificate. However, right now I can't remember if the certificate is limited to parent, legal guardian, or child of the deceased. If someone else doesn't provide this information. Maybe within a few days I can find the correct link.
