Jacksonville Genealogical Society, Inc. (JGS) will be holding a four-session Beginner Genealogy Class, featuring research in the U.S. It will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Webb-Wesconnett Library, 6887 103rd Street, Jacksonville, FL on the following dates: Saturday, April 21 and 28; May 5 and 12, 2001 There will not be a charge to attend this class. A JGS course manual will be used during the class sessions and will be available at a cost of $20.00, if you wish to purchase one. Course subjects include: How to begin: Use of the Pedigree Chart and Family Group Sheet; Research Documentation: Sources-What are they?; Dates, Places & Relationships; Use of Vital, Court, Church and Military Records; Record Keeping; and much more. Certificates of Completion will be given to those persons who attend at least three of the four class dates. Parking is available at the Webb-Wesconnett Library.
