I'm back with another small thread of hope. Thanks to the listings on the Archives for Duval County, I have just received a CSA pension for John Richard NICHOLSON. I have not been able to confirm that his is in fact the father of Grace, my gggrandmother, but am willing to dig a little further to see if I can make a connection. What I would like to find out is if someone could check for a death certificate of John Richard NICHOLSON, died 3/31/1920 in Duval Co. According to the CSA pension record, he was born 11/25/1838 in Sussex Co, VA, moved to Jax area 5/11/1887, and lived there until his death. It is my hope that his death certificate may list his interment. I have recently discovered that my ggrandfather's sister is still living @ 90 something. Although I have spoken to her and she remembers very little, I am hoping to drop some more dates and places to try "priming the pump". Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!
