That's gonna be a toughie considering that "Sonny" is a nickname. The best suggestion I can offer is to look in the Jacksonville City Directories for 1936 and see what you can find under Carson. An Index of Jacksonville City Directories can be found at http://jpl.coj.net/dlc/florida/rbmp/cdindex.html . However, the directory for 1936 is not online yet. Give the library a call; in 1936 Jacksonville wasn't all that big, so there can't be too many. By the way, in that time frame, there were a lot of "common law" marriages.
