Well,it goes like this.My mom and myself went swimming at the big jetties but only when the tide was just so.My dad hardly ever went swimming. So my mom was the swimmer not me. Oh it was the Coast Guard then. Thanks for the info on the cemeteries. It goes to show that what I said about the government taking over without any regards to the living or the dead they just take what they want. I suppose this is a sooooo called man's progress. It is bad enough they take over the land, now they take our dead. The Old Pablo cemetery that you have mentioned here, where is it or is this the Old Mayport cemetery that is now surrounded by houses. My great grandparents (Asbury Fletcher Jones and Mary Mier Jones) are buried there and he was dug up with a few of the others by vandals, but they were caught so I was told. There's no such thing now for the dead to REST IN PEACE. This is thier final sleeping place and they aren't even safe there. The history of our ancestors are slowly being destroyed. The few of us that are trying to preserve the cemeteries are just poopin against the wind, but we keep trying and will until the end.Somebody has to care. Hugs to all that still have a heart. Jo.
