    2. Julie and Lists I must mention that I have a good number of surveys already that need typing. I have volunteers lined up to do that. Also, I have driving directions as well as gps locations on all cemeteries on your list, as well as the ones that you do not have. I have already mailed this list to be typed and published. Please coordinate the surveys by typing on an open list post so that there will be no wasted efforts repeating work that has already been done. There are also a good number of individuals that have already completed surveys of their own. So now would be a good time for everyone to send an open message to the list so that we can pull the project together! I appreciate all that everyone is doing in trying to get the surveys posted and the cemeteries recognized by the City and State Governments. 3. dianne - did you miss my posts to the list(s) on thursday, june 7th? i did post, in two parts, a full accounting of the cemeteries that, with the gracious help of everyone on our lists, we had compiled information on. on both of those lists (our list of cemeteries is so long that i posted it in "part 1" and "part 2") i indicated the cemeteries that we actually had, in our possession, surveys typed for. in my preface to the list of cemeteries and burial sites i indicated that the driving directions, for the present time, had been left off because the purpose of the initial posting was simply to confirm the sites themselves and any "aka" names for some of the burial sites. it was noted on that message that driving directions would be added later so that our working list of known cemeteries and burial sites would be more complete. we are all very aware that some cemeteries may have already been surveyed twice. on our recent list (parts 1 and 2) i noted when we had copie! s of multiple surveys. we also already have driving directions to each of the cemeteries on our posted list. to whom have you already mailed a list to be typed and published? is the typist also doing the publishing? where is it to be published? perhaps posting an "open list" of the cemeteries-burial sites that you have collected to the flduval and flnecemetery lists would be a good idea. we have all been working very hard for many months to coordinate a complete and concise "directory" of all known cemeteries and burial sites in duval county, complete with driving directions, surveys, and histories when available. our project is coming together quite nicely. julie thames howell jax, fla ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, June 09, 2001 5:18 AM Subject: [FLDUVAL] ATTN: Duval County Burial Sites Julie and Lists I must mention that I have a good number of surveys already that need typing.
