A young friend of mine (ours) adopted these two cemeteries for his Eagle Scout Project. I encouraged him and met with his Scoutmaster to seek approval. But Michael L. Freeman deserves all the credit. He went far beyond my suggestions. He even cited the Latitidue/Longitude for each grave, and took a colored picture of each marer. He has delivered to me, for distribution to the local libraries, 4 notebooks of the listings, plus an album of pictures for each cemetery, and a disk with all the data on it. He is retaining the negatives in case anyone needs a picture of a certain marker. Is he an Angel or what? He certainly deserved his Eagle Scout Badge...and he got it! Michael has submitted his data to the inter-net. The notebooks will be placed in the library of Southern Genealigist's Exchange Society, The Downtown Library, and both Family History Centers. The picture albums will be at the downtown library. We should encourage more young men to emulate this fine scout! I have a good project in case you know someone looking for one, let me know. Jon R. Ferguson
Good for him. Wish we could get more young folks interested in genealogy. Which cemeteries did he do?
