I am trying to obtain information on a Dr. Henry von Balsam, a port of Jacksonville physician in 1855. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to start? I know he became a Dentist here in St. Augustine after 1860 but can not determine where to start for the information on his occupation as a physician for the port of Jacksonville in 1855.
