Hello - My Howell husband came from Texas. I have no idea whether or not there is any connection to Howells from Georgia and/or SC. My husband hasn't much interest in my researching his surname; we were given some research done by another member of his family that indicated that the American Howell family originated in Delaware. I've been doing a one-name research on my Thames surname for a number of years now.
