    3. I know someone on this list is researchng Geohegan/Geohagan. While at Evergreen Cemetery (in Jacksonville) yesterday, my husband and i noticed a beautiful gravestone; a large Celtic cross. The inscription on the cross indicated it was the burial place of EDWARD MAGAWLY BANON. He was born at Broughall Castle Ireland and died at Glen-a-Veagh, Arlington, Florida. His wife's name was AGNES MANNING BANON. I was intrigued by the Glen-a-Veagh, Arlington, Florida information, so did some searching. There is an excellent web site on this family: The Geoghegans - A Family History http://www.geoghegan.org/clan/history.html that mentions Edward Magawly Banon and a chalice, one of three made in the late 1700s, that was in Banon's possession when he died in Florida in 1944. http://www.irishmidlandsancestry.com/content/family_history/families/banon.htm Irish Midlands Ancestry offers an excellent web site on "the Banon and other Ancient Irish Families." The information is "by the late Edward Magawly Banon, Esq.....Compiled by Mrs. Edward Magawly Banon (Agnes Manning Banon) 1947. Further, it says "Privately Printed in the U.S.A. by The Paulist Press New York, N.Y. 1947, Half Tones by Respass Engraving Co., Jacksonville, Florida." Julie Thames Howell Jacksonville, Florida
