Sharon, Are you in a BIG hurry for it? If not, you can order by mail and get it in 3-4 weeks for $5.00. Rush (2-3 business days) is $10 and they also have overnight for $23. See http://www.doh.state.fl.us for more information and a form. Thanks to all who took the time to tell me where I could get a copy of the death cert for Frank Turpen who died in Jacksonville in 1938. I downloaded the form and have it completed and ready to go out in the morning mail. You people on this list are SUPER!! Thank you all very much. Sharon
Sharon: Sorry to report there is not a listing in the FL State Death Index for Frank Terpen in the time frame you posted. I checked all spellings. Can someone tell me where I would write for a death certificate? I only know that Frank Turpin/Turpen's death occurred in Jacksonville between May 1938 and July 1940. Would this time frame be OK, or do I need an exact date? I know some states will look for an event in 3 year increments. Would this be the case in Florida? Thanks for any help. Sharon

Among the names on this web page, http://www.mdgenweb.org/taxlists.htm are some names i've seen being researched on the Duval list: Parsons, Turner, Phillips, Plummer, Pruett, Keen, Keene, Gibbs, Higgenbotham, Parrish, Skinner, Price, Durden, and others. Julie Thames Howell Jacksonville, Florida
Is anyone out there researching the family of Richard Kerce & Christianna Beilling? Richard was born in South Carolina in 1811, and died in Union County, Florida in 1894. Christianna was born in either South Carolina or Bradford County, Florida, and died in Union County, Florida, in 1898. I am trying to find out who their parents were. They were my 2X great grandparents. I have already checked county and state vital statistics for death records, but none apparently exists, and they may have had their parents' names on them if they had existed. Thanks for any help. L. Mickler

Hi... I am researching the Altman family that married into the Johns family....and at the moment I am researching Jesse and Nancy Johns Altman....and their family...and I thank Jerry Green for helping me too... Their Children: William Hardy, Leonard, Sarah, Jesse A III., James L., Wiley, Hillary, Martha, Charles and Nellie (or Neller).. The following is who I have researched so far.... William Hardy Altman : 25 Oct 1868 Baker Co, FL - 3 Mar 1941, married Laura Bennett and they had 10 children: Elizabeth(1894 -?) With the help of Jerry Green..I discovered the following: Sarah Married unknown Connors.... Jesse III (Apr 1873 - 1937) married Caroline Davis... James L. (Jun 1875 - Jun 1968) no marriage info... Hillary (Oct 1879 - Aug 1911), never married... Martha (Nov 1881- ?) no marriage info... Charles A., (May 1885 -?) married Ola Dorman Neller (Nellie) (Jun 1887 - Jan 1966) married James Harvey....
