    2. Don't know too much about George W. except he was my gggrandfather. He married Catherine (Kate) Hagan Ap. 22, 1858 and they lived in Mandarin but after he died Kate moved to Jacksonville and on March 31, 1876 married Benjamin Southwick. So George W. must have died before 1876. If anybody out there is doing Hartley research on this family, please let me know. I sure do need help. Thnks, Trudy

    1. [FLDUVAL] Loftin Genealogy help needed
    2. I have tried to learn how to use the rootsweb site, but I am having trouble understanding how to? Is there a how to book that can be bought or downloaded? I am trying to find ANY information about the following: Henry Cecil Loftin or his first wife (Rosa Burt Loftin). They lived in Jacksonville and gave birth to 2 girls (1/26/1913 & abt.1918). Henry may have been born 12/16/1887 in Jacksonville, Florida District #1 or Kinston, NC This information is from the WW1 Draft Registration Database. Can you help me? Census records 1910/1920 for Duval County? Birth certificate? Death certificate? Tax records? Also, when the above divorced and moved out of the area, the daughter was raised in Duval County for the next 70 years: by William & Winifred Puryear, who are now buried in the Evergreen Cemetery dob 1864-1940 & dob 1864-1950. I have tried the "Family Tree Maker" & the "Generations Family Tree" CD disks. Were there any "obit" records for the Puryears in Duval County? Any help would be appreciated.

    2. Joann, I have been trying to locate my grand-mother who was supposed to have died in childbirth with my father in Duval Cnty, Jacksonville, FL, and have not had any luck. I wonder if you can help me with that? Her name was: Ora Mae Vaughn, died in 1930, probably January. That's all I know. I did send off for a death certificate; but, they could not locate one. 2. Tony and Julie Howell
    3. if anyone is interested in this cemetery, i have a list that was typed some years ago when all of the graves on the list were visible. the neighbors, an older couple who have lived there for some years, gave me a copy of the typed list. they said that some of the markers are gone now and some of the brick grave-outlines are no longer visible. there are 35 graves on the list. of that number, 4 of the graves had no headstones; 2 had unmarked wooden markers and 2 were outlined with bricks and no headstones. if anyone is interested in this cemetery, the surnames are: Gilmore Hagin Bardin Peerson Gardner Acosta Hood Ponce Flynn Conyer Glass anyone who wishes further information on these let me know. julie howell
